John West

John West presently serves as CEO of Lion Investments, where he oversees an investment portfolio. Lion Investments primarily invests in the Human Capital space and owns majority interest in several companies, including Hire Partners, Hire Velocity, ProIQ Solutions and TSC Services. Most of these companies provide a variety of comprehensive recruiting and staffing solutions. Pro IQ is a Technology Consulting practice with a focus on Business Analytics and IT project management.


Previously, Mr. West was the founder and CEO of System One, a technology staffing and consulting company he founded in 1987. In April of 2000, after growing the company to 17 offices nationwide and $120 million in sales, Mr. West sold System One to Monster Worldwide (formerly TMP Worldwide), the parent company of After the sale, Mr. West accepted a position as Group President, primarily


focused on acquisitions and integration of select outsourcing businesses.


In April of 2001, Mr. West left Monster to form Lion Investments and spent the following 4 years investing in new ventures, primarily in business services, technology and globally based business process outsourcing (BPO) companies. From July of 2005 thru October 2006, Mr. West was CEO for Acclaris, Inc, and continued on as Chairman until July 2010 when the company was sold to a private equity syndicate.


Prior to System One, Mr. West spent nine years in leadership roles at a Fortune 20 Company.  He earned his BS in engineering from Penn State, MBA from Bowling Green University and has attended an Executive Education Program at Harvard.


Mr. West serves on several corporate boards and is a Trustee and Board Chairman at the University of Tampa. He is the immediate past Florida State Chair for the Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF) and is the National Chair-Elect for 2014. Mr. West is also a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Berkeley Preparatory School.


Mr. West is married to Micheal West and has 3 children, Sara, Stephen and Shannon.
