Luke Simons is a veteran of the securities industry, formerly Chief Operating Officer of J.C. Bradford & Co. Nashville, Tennessee (one of the largest independently owned investment-banking firms in the U.S.) After the UBS/J.C. Bradford & Co. merger in 2000, he continued as Senior Managing Director and later an Independent Advisor with UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Simons is currently an Operating Partner with Council Ventures which focuses on healthcare services.
Mr. Simons is on the corporate boards of DiaTech Oncology, PatientCredit, Inc. and Medaxion. He is on the Board of Directors of The Frist Center for the Visual Arts and the Board of the Spoleto Arts Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. He is a member of Belmont University’s Advisory Board, the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement, The Middle Tennessee Medical Reserve Corp. (MTMRC),the Entrepreneur Center Board and the Nashville Business Coalition. He is also an Honorary Trustee of Harpeth Hall, a member of Leadership Nashville, the Society of International Business Fellows and the Nashville Convention Center Authority.
Mr. Simons is a native of Charleston, South Carolina, earned a BS degree from Georgia Tech, and his MBA from the University of Virginia, and served in the US Navy. He and his wife, Susan, have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
