Ahmed AlRasheed was born on 5th December 1983 in Riyadh City the Capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was raised in Jubail Industrial City where he completed the elementary school. In 1994, he moved to Khobar City where he completed intermediate and high schools. After graduating from high school, he has continued his studies at Jubail Industrial College, majoring in Science for two years. Later, he transferred to the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh to pursue his Accounting degree. Successfully he achieved his goal and ambition. Ahmed wanted to compliment his Accounting studies with a high level of technical experience from a respectful organization. Therefore, he was keen to join one of the big four firms. Luckily, he managed to join Ernst & Young as at an Associate level. Along with his high commitment, dedication, quality of delivery and commercial mindset he was promoted to Auditor in Charge in an exceptional period of three years. Badawi Qawasmi is a Managing Partner at eDARa, a project management firm in the real-estate sector that provides services and consultancy from inception to completion. Previously, he worked as Planning and Design Project Manager for Ammar Group, the largest real-estate developer in Palestine and proudly initiated and completed the plans for an entire neighborhood that expanded Ramallah city limits. Before that Badawi worked as Project Manager for the Palestine Investment Fund, the national sovereign fund of the State of Palestine and as Project Manager for a concrete contractor in the DC area in the USA. From a young age, I have always been passionate about helping others in any form possible, I was (still am) also fascinated by the power and importance of communicating, at every level; it was therefore was a natural progression to get into the medical field, particularly in what could enable me to help those who are unfortunately restricted in their communication capabilities. I obtained my BSc in Speech Pathology and Audiology from KSU, then Masters in Audiological Science from UCL, London. I worked in various public hospitals both in KSA and the UK. I am a Manager at Deloitte & Touche (M.E.) working as the regional Brand & Communications Leader for Deloitte Middle East’s consulting practice based in Dubai. Ranya Shalaby is Executive Director of MELA. Formerly the Director of Business Development at INJAZ Egypt, she led the organization’s fundraising and development initiatives - overseeing media, public relations, events, donor acquisition and retention, and community engagement. She completed her graduate degree in comparative literature in 2002 and since then has assumed various roles in development and communications in Egypt, most recently managing donor relations at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Over the past five years she has also supported Egypt’s burgeoning entrepreneurship ecosystem as a mentor and startup competition judge. Her graduate thesis, a comparative study of Egyptian and American short fiction, was published in 2011 and reflects her dual nationality and affinity for cross-cultural dialogue. Ranya spent her formative years in Kuwait and since 1990 has resided in Cairo, Egypt.
Hamood Al Habsi is a LEAN Value Stream Lead in Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). He graduated from Sultan Qaboos University as a mechanical engineer and Joined PDO in 2004. In his twelve years in PDO, he worked in wells planning, operation, design, new technology maturation and contract management. Currently he is leading a lean deployment team in PDO driving continuous improvement and lean implementations in well engineering directorate. Leading a team of 8 lean coaches, they managed to improve the continuous improvement culture by developing a lean management system that promote CI initiatives and support sustaining the improvements. Hamood’s ultimate goal is to build his own company in future.

Ibtehal Ba Wazir is a Lean Value Stream Lead at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). She is responsible for delivering operational improvements and building the Lean culture in the People and Change Directorate through the strategic deployment of the Lean Management System. She works as part of the leadership team to establish the improvement agenda for the directorate and oversees the delivery of the agenda. Ibtehal comes from a consulting background having worked for PwC Middle East and Ernst and Young for over 7 years. Her responsibilities included developing business development opportunities, establishing relationships with clients, delivering projects and building the capabilities of her team members. She also worked as Human Resources Specialist for two years for Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company SAOC (Nawras), currently known as Ooredoo. Ibtehal holds an MBA from EDHEC Business School, Nice, France and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri St. Louis, USA. Salim Al Aisri is a Control and Automation Engineer with extensive experience in various technology industries. Salim graduated from the University of Teesside (UK) with B.Sc in IT. After graduation he joined Hybrid Creations Ltd as a software engineer, providing customized IT solutions for the local SME market. He then went on to join Omantel as Senior Telecom Engineer. At Omantel, Salim developed a complex data mining system that analyzed the performance of the entire telecom network and provided instant feedback as well as performance enhancement suggestions which lead to the dramatic improvement of the efficiency and stability of the network. Salim then moved to Occidental Petroleum Oman as a Control and Automation Lead. He restructured the control and automation team and created a training and leadership program that focused on knowledge transfer and effective team dynamics. Salim currently works at GlassPoint Solar where he is the Lead Control and Automation Engineer. Glasspoint Solar offers renewable energy solutions for the heavy oil industry by providing steam generation using solar concentrators. Salim is in the process of obtaining a patent with Glasspoint for an algorithm that will improve efficiency and reliability of the system using off the shelf technology. Salim is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) and is strong advocate on the symbiosis of technology and organizational structures to provide a highly effective and agile project planning and execution strategy. Lamia Al Ansi is from Salalah, Oman but was raised and has lived across the world for the majority of her life, between studying and working in 4 continents. She now works in the Negotiations and Supply Chain industry in Oman, having done this for both Upstream Oil and Gas, and now Development for tourism and real estate. Her current role includes being a director of procurement, tender committee member and board of director member of several organizations in Oman. Her particular area of interest at work is developing Omani and GCC markets, particularly local skills and industries. She’s passionate about experiences, which resulted in her trying out open water diving, bunjee jumping, summitting Kilimanjaro, hiking in Oman, paragliding, winter skiing, alternative therapy training, and too many other things to list which are part of a huge bucket list of experiencing life to the fullest.
