HISTORY

MELA was established in 2010 as the Middle East Leadership Academy by a group of committed Arab and American business executives who identified the critical need for the establishment of a community of interconnected, up-and-coming, high-potential Middle Eastern business leaders. The global network powers business opportunity, leadership development and personal and professional growth across the lifetime of its members.

GLOBAL NETWORK

MELA members benefit not only from membership in the regional network, but also the sister networks within SIBF. The SIBF network has grown rapidly over the past 35 years and continues to expand globally in the service of young up and-coming leaders to celebrate their skills and promote their growth.

2002

SIBF inaugurated the successful Central Eurasia Leadership Academy (CELA). The CELA program annually brings young leaders from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan together for 10 days of intensive training at KoƧ University in Istanbul. There are now 550 members in the CELA network

2011

SIBF established the Middle East Leadership Academy (MELA) to extend development opportunities to a host of young Middle Eastern leaders across 13 countries in the MENA region.

2014

SIBF launched the Southeast Asia Leadership Academy [SEALA]. SEALA annually supports up and coming leaders from 9 countries in that region. The growing network currently consists of 75 members.
