Last updated: 11 May 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of melanetwork.org and all programs and services offered by Mela for Training and Education Activities (“Mela”, the “Mela Network”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using this website, submitting an application, registering for a program, or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Mela

Mela – the Middle East Leadership Alliance – is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political leadership-development network registered in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as Mela for Training and Education Activities. Established in 2010, Mela accelerates the personal and professional growth of mid-career business leaders across fourteen Arab countries: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Mela is one of four sister networks that together form a global leadership network spanning 47 countries and more than 2,000 members.

2. Eligibility & Application

The Mela Network admits high-potential candidates who are established leaders or change-agents within their organizations or communities. Eligibility criteria include:

Citizenship of one of the 14 Arab countries served by Mela.

Age range of 30 to 45 years (mid-career professional).

Completion of the online application, including biography, photograph, and CV.

Acceptance by the Mela Selection Committee, whose decisions are final and discretionary.

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Mela reserves the right to refuse any application without disclosing the reason.

3. Programs, Services & Fees

Mela offers the following programs and services, payable in United States Dollars (USD):

Leadership Masterclass — Mela’s flagship 10-day in-person induction program, held at a rotating venue across the region. Program fee: USD 7,500 (single-room occupancy) or USD 5,500 (double-room occupancy). The fee covers tuition, programming, materials, accommodation, and most meals during the 10-day event. International travel and visa costs are not included.

Annual Membership — Open to Masterclass graduates, billed at USD 260 per year. Membership grants the rights listed on the Member Benefits page, including chapter participation, voting rights, eligibility for leadership roles, Global Network App access, member-only events, and the Chairman’s Awards.

Alumni Status — Free for Masterclass graduates who do not renew membership. Alumni retain limited benefits as set out on the Member Benefits page.

Chapter & Reunion Events — Hosted by national chapters and the Mela Secretariat from time to time, with their own published fees.

Mela may update fees and program details from time to time; the version published on the website at the moment of purchase is the version that applies to your transaction.

4. Payment

Payments may be made by international bank transfer to Mela’s account at Bank Al Etihad (Jordan) as published on the Membership Fees page, or by Visa or MasterCard through our authorized online payment provider. All online card transactions are processed over an encrypted HTTPS connection using TLS 1.2 or higher and SHA-256 cryptographic algorithms. Mela does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or PIN information on its servers. All prices are quoted and charged in USD; foreign-exchange differences and bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.
